Legal Brothels!! Great stuff

And I'm not just saying this from a "blokey" point of view. I have long held the view that brothels should be legalised in this country. I believe this because something can only be properly controlled and monitored when licenses (I do not, however, believe this should be the case with drugs). The biggest problem with prostitution is not that men pay for sex (what the hell is wrong with that?!) but that the girls who have sex with the men don't actually get all of the money...This tends to go to pimps and so on.

I don't imagine this new legislation will do much to help the number of illegal immigrants who are forced into prostitution but it will certainly help those women in Britain who decide on prostitution as a 'career'.

All this row over a bloke who sexually assaulted a girl who he was later to marry!!!??? This is called Statutory rape. The guy is a paedophile because he happened to fall in love with a girl under 16 (16 being the socially 'acceptable' age for sexual relations). He is not a paedophile because he molested a 9 year old kid. Although there is no difference in the 'eyes of the law' in real terms there is a great deal of difference!

Sometimes subjectivity should take precedence over objectivity but too much subjectivity is a very dangerous thing!
