Letters and e-mails share pattern

Erm? OK. I'm afraid I've got to ask - why would anyone study this? What's the point? I don't even think the guy who wrote the article knows. Go find a cure for cancer!

Labour finally 'does' something...

Looks like this Government (remember them, they're still there somewhere apparently) have actually attempted to do something for a change...But, of course, as per usual...It's far too little far too late!

Smoking should be banned in all places where people have no choice but to be around smokers. It should not be up to non-smokers not to go in somewhere where there is smoke - it should be up to smokers not smoke in public places and find somewhere where they can't damage other people's bodies!

I've not heard the words "civil liberties" yet. Which is good. It's about time that non-smokers had more rights than smokers!

Everyone likes a drink, nobody likes a drunk...

Yes, well, whatever. Why don't we all just sit in a white padded room and do nothing.

The fact is we are on this earth a very short amount of time and we should bloody well enjoy it. If that means having a drink and getting 'sloshed' occasionally, then so be it.

And if you want to get pissed in front of people while balancing on a beam, then why the hell not!

You go girl!

Fucking movie producers....

Do they actually ever listen to the people who watch films? Probably not, as that would explain why they keeping backing shit films!

Extract from the BBC regarding the new James Bond film:
Producer Michael G Wilson said the film-makers considered more than 200 actors from around the world over two years before settling on Craig.
Neither Q nor Moneypenny will appear, Mr Wilson added, but M will return. However, it was not confirmed whether Dame Judi Dench will play the spy chief.

Talking of technology, this is how shit the Yanks really are...

TXT messages on TV? Fucking amazing that.

http://uk.gizmodo.com/2005/10/12/sms_to_tv_coming_soon.html

(erm. Has nobody watched TMF or The Hits recently?)

I'm thinking of renaming this blog the "I hate Apple and all types of 'this is hold hat technology but we can shout louder' shit".

Apple are not revolutionaries..

Why do people get so excited when Apple announce a new product? Do they think we're seeing a revolution? Yes, the ipod was a great step forward, but since then they have not been leaders, but merely followers. Most people on the street (the dumb, count;t give a shit, knobheads) have no idea what technology is about and think it's amazing when Apple launch something new.

Take the ipod nano...Yes, very sexy. But a revolution? It's not even all that small! It's thin, yes, but why is it so tall? And why only 4gb? Come on...Let's have something truly amazing.

Because people expect Apple to come up with the next big thing, they ignore all the smaller companies making great products, and wait for Apple - so revolutions are happening every day, but people think that it's only Apple that do it!

On a connected note. I hate the way technology companies hold back on releasing things so that they can make as much money as possible. Mobile phones, for example, could be a shit load more impressive than they are now...But why release the great ones now when they can still make money on the mediocre ones?!

I think one company should break from tradition and release a great phone now - 10gb storage, great camera, great games etc etc. Make as much money from the one handset as possible (who's going to want the shit ones from the other companies now) and get out while the going is good.

Maybe I should move to the mountains...

Cardiff Half Marathon...

Well, I did it. 2 hours and 12 minutes.

I'm pretty chuffed with that too...didnt think I would be getting in under 3!

Friday, October 07, 2005

What the hell have i got myself into!

The half marathon is in less than two days time. When i drunkenly decided to do it six months ago, i imagined myself as a fit and healthy young man by this point. The truth is, i am no fitter now than i was them and have actually put on weight.

I believe this is actually a reflection on my life as a whole. I am very keen on making plans (like travelling, for example) but i'm crap at commiting myself to those plans. My life will always be pretty boring if i cant ever manage to commit to something. Yes, i'm going to do this marathon, but not the way i wanted to!

I'm 24 and i'm about to walk the majority of a half marathon. The words 'waster' and 'loser' spring to mind.

I need an awakening or a turning point. Will nearly dying trying to finish this thing be it? That's just wishful thinking!

>>Sent via mobile phone<<

I dream of travelling...

...but i cant seem achieve the right amount of commitment required to save money. I spend more than i earn and hate my job. In fact, i hate working full stop.
When i started this job in january i said to myself that 2005 would be a right off as i would spend the year saving money and paying off my debts. I'm actually worse off now than I was in january.

It now looks like travelling is off the agenda for 2006 too. In 2006 i'll turn 25 - at 26 you are on longer eligible for cheap flights and cant get working holiday visas!

Fuck!

One week to go...

Well, it's under a week until i do the Cardiff half marathon. Im bloody annoyed with myself as i knew i would need to do training, and quite frankly I've done none. I walked 10 miles today and then jogged 2 - it was not pleasant!

The two biggest things im concerned about are the effect my trainers are having on my feet and chafing...the latter being the more painful and pressing issue!

If i dont make it then i leave everything (apart from this blog, which goes to Bethan) to my parents. I have no belongings to speak of and loads of debt. Sorry.

What if i do die? Are these some of my last written words? People dont know when they's going to die, obviously if they did they would avoid it. So there is nothing to say it wont happen on an otherwise normal day in Cardiff. Course, if i do go, someone may have the pleasure of reading this afterwards. That's more than a bit sickening really.

Wow, im in a pleasant mood tonight. Think happy thoughts...

"God told Bush to invade Iraq".

So, the elusive question of "who is this God bloke anyway" may finally be answered if we assume that..

Bush's father probably asked him to invade Iraq...

American Oil companies may have asked Bush to invade Iraq...

Construction companies may..

Etc etc. Narrows the list down a bit thought doesn't it.

(Yes, this is a copy of a comment made below...but I have nothing original to say today, so may as well post this here).

I would like to add that I am and have always been a supporter of the war in Iraq. Not to keen on the way it's been managed since though. Oh, and Bush is a cock.

AOP in brutal pavement clash...

Our sympathies to Bethan's nain (grandma to the rest of us) who recently had an unfortunate "run-in" with the pavement outside her house!

Nain Taylor...Get well soon. Remind me to smack the pavement for being so naughty if I'm ever in that area.

Happy Birthday Braggster!

It's the Braggster's birthday today. Unfortunately, he didn't walk past the office today...so..well...

Happy Birthday Melvyn Brag!

Shame, really, because I had spent (aherm) ages preparing a banner for him...

Religion is not an excuse!

I don't like religion in any form...But when people use religion as an excuse to murder people then it's even worse! Most Muslims are very nice, moderate People, but why do some radicals decide that they can take it upon themselves to make our lives so bloody horrible?

The fact is, before we went into Iraq the people there were treated awfully under a brutal dictator...The only reason Iraq isn't doing very well now is because there are a small number of twats who just want cause trouble.

Seeing footage of the recent Bali bombings angers me. If I thought it was worth it, I would gladly sign up to the army to personally take out some of these radicals...Stuff moderation or rehabilitation. They're not worth saving.

Scum.
